Catalogue

Set up products, pricing and availability.

Your catalogue is products, each with a rate plan (pricing) and, for anything except taxis, a set of bookable time slots.

Products

A product is one bookable thing — a specific tour, a transfer route, a restaurant booking, a taxi service. Each has a category (tour, experience, transfer, taxi, restaurant), a pricing model, and a confirmation mode.

Pricing models:

  • Per person — the price multiplies by party size (most tours and experiences).
  • Per cover — restaurants. The guest pays the restaurant directly, not through Masihambe; your rate plan price becomes the referral fee you owe the hotel per cover.
  • Flat — one price regardless of party size (most transfers and taxis).

Confirmation mode:

  • Instant — bookings confirm immediately, no action needed from you.
  • On request — bookings land at the top of your bookings page as pending until you accept or decline.

Rate plans

Each product has one rate plan with a price per sales channel: a concierge price, and optionally a guest price. A channel with no price set isn't bookable on it. Prices are set once and apply to every booking on that plan — there's no per-booking negotiation.

Availability

Except for taxis (which book against a pickup time, not a slot), every product needs time slots with a capacity. Add slots in bulk with a date, time and capacity each; Masihambe tracks how many are booked against each one and stops overselling automatically, even under concurrent bookings.

Photos

Once a product exists, open it to add photos. Upload image files directly (they're resized to fit before they upload) or paste a photo URL if you'd rather host the image yourself. Add up to 12 photos per product.

The first photo in the list is the one guests and concierges see first. Use "Set as main" on any other photo to move it to the front, or "Move up"/"Move down" to reorder the rest. Give each photo alt text, remove any you don't want, then save; the order you leave it in is what shows on the product page.

There's no cropping or editing tool here: get the photo looking right before you add it. Products synced from an external catalogue keep their own photo and can't have photos added or changed in this portal. The mobile concierge and guest apps still show only your main photo, not the full gallery or the itinerary.

Itinerary

Below the photos, describe the stops on a tour or experience as an ordered list: title, and optionally a description, a duration in minutes and a photo for each stop. Only the title is required. Add, reorder and remove stops the same way as photos, then save. A product can have up to 20 stops.
