Commission

Every paid booking your concierge desk or guest stay codes send earns your hotel a share of the margin (the sell price minus what the vendor is paid), agreed contractually with Masihambe rather than set by a rule. That share belongs to the hotel, not to whichever concierge happened to make the booking. There's no individual concierge tracking or side payments to manage.

Negotiating your share

/hotel/commission is also where you negotiate the agreement itself: propose a margin share, accept or counter what Masihambe proposes, and withdraw a proposal you sent before it's answered. One accepted agreement covers every paid portal booking your hotel sends, whichever vendor or channel it comes from. Once accepted, the agreement's terms are fixed and downloadable as a PDF. Your hotel can't have any bookings created, on either the concierge desk or the guest app, until an agreement is accepted.

Viewing what you've earned

The same page lists every commission entry, most recent first, each linked back to the booking reference, guest name and date it came from. The total at the top is the net figure: earned, minus any reversals from cancelled bookings.

How it's calculated

Each vendor agrees a rack rate (the ceiling the guest can be charged) and a net rate (what the vendor is owed) with Masihambe. Your hotel's share of the resulting margin, sell price minus net, is whatever your accepted agreement says. Restaurants work slightly differently: since the guest pays the restaurant directly rather than through Masihambe, the vendor owes your hotel a referral fee in arrears instead, split by the same agreed share.

Viator bookings don't earn your hotel anything: Viator is platform-only filler inventory, and its income belongs to the platform, not the hotel.

Cancellations

If a confirmed booking is cancelled, its commission is reversed automatically: a new entry that negates the original, never an edit or a deleted row. Your commission total always reflects exactly what's still valid.
